Apple’s iCloud service is a cloud storage system that has been around for quite some time now. Most apple users don't know how to use it. In this blog you will be able to collect a bit of information about apple's cloud storage features.

iCloud is simply a service that keeps all your devices in sync. You can allow all your apple devices to stay connected and share information between them whether its an iPhone, iPod, iPad or a mac. The information on each device is automatically updated to make sure the most current information is available on all devices. So if you were to make any change on your iPhone, the corresponding change would occur on your mac. The service is free and it operates wirelessly.

How does iCloud work?

If you were to have a night out with your friends and you take some photos and videos on your iPhone, the same photos and videos would appear on all your other apple devices. There is no need to manually transfer photos from your iPhone to your computer or any other device. The photos are automatically available on your computer.

In addition to syncing photos across multiple devices, iCloud also syncs other information such as: iTunes purchases, Contacts, Calendars, Notes, documents, Reminders, and Safari bookmarks. It provides the capability to backup your device and locate a lost device.

iCloud works by storing your information securely on a remote server. This online storage capability is also known as cloud storage. By securely storing your information online, you can access this information from any device, at any time.

How do I use iCloud?

Before using iCloud, you must first create a free account. Typically, your iCloud account can be the same as your Apple ID. Your Apple ID is the email address you used when signing up for iTunes. You use the Apple ID and password to download apps or music. To keep things simple, you can also use the same Apple ID when creating an iCloud account. However, if you have more than one person sharing the Apple ID, you may want to create a separate iCloud account.

On a Mac, select iCloud in the System Preferences and sign in with your Apple ID and password.

If you have a PC, you will need to download the iCloud control panel from Apple’s website. Once it is installed on your PC, open the Control Panel, then open iCloud and sign in with your Apple ID and password.

Website Guide

Build a website in three easy steps!

A website acts as a digital business card for a company: people can reference it again and again for things like contact information, names of employees, services offered, and more.

Let’s understand the three basic steps that go into building a website from SCRATCH.

Step 1: Domain Name Registration:

In simple, terms, if the website was your house, a domain name is the address. A domain name is the address of your website that people type in the URL bar, to access your website.

For example, www.facebook.com would be the domain name for Facebook.

Step 2: Web hosting and business email hosting

After domain name registration, it is important you get a proper web hosting.

Consider the web hosting server as a storage for all your files. Like how all the other files are hosted by your computer and only you can open it up. When these files are hosted on a web server, anyone can access them from anywhere and at any time.

360 web hosting is a specially curated web hosting service to reduce costs and ensure a faster and secure hosting service for your website.

There are two ways to host your business emails, either independently on a different server or on the same website server in order to save additional costs. A well-hosted email server will help you build credibility, further your brand name, and give you full control.

 Step 3: Website design

Website design, a self-explanatory term involving the process of webpage layout, user-friendly functionality, and multiple device compatibility along with CMS (Content Management System).

CMS; a content management system gives you access to edit the website from your internet browser eliminating any additional software download requirements. We will provide you with login credentials which will give you the access to edit, customize, change the layout, and various other functions.

Hosting Website

Different types of Web Hosting services in UAE.

Consider the web hosting server as a storage for all your files. Like how all the other files are hosted by your computer and only you can open it up. When these files are hosted on a web server, anyone can access them from anywhere and at any time.

There are 5 major types of web hosting:

  1. Shared Hosting: This means that the website would be sharing space on the same server as other websites. This type of hosting would be easy to set up and cost-efficient.

  2. VPS Hosting: Your website should also share a common server with other websites or a virtual private server. A virtual private server is like only having your own apartment. You will not be shared with any roommates a kitchen, toilet, dining room, or other shared spaces. This gives you a lot of independence and versatility for the space to do what you want.

  3. WordPress Hosting: This hosting is specifically designed for websites that are running on WordPress. By selecting a professional WordPress host, you will significantly boost your WordPress site's efficiency while offering yourself a lot of additional benefits.

  4. Dedicated Hosting: Dedicated servers come with varying management levels. You can look for a hosting service to run your server for you, or you can handle it on your own. The disadvantage is that you will be responsible for downloading updates and checking for bugs or errors on everything, however, if you don't have the IT personnel for that you can get managed hosting service.

  5. Cloud Hosting: A newer method of web hosting is cloud hosting. It can best be represented as a hybrid, but the more cost-effective version of a VPS. The website will have higher uptime levels for cloud storage and will not have as much unexpected downtime due to server errors. Your platform will remain flexible and will operate at a professional level. Scalability is the best thing about cloud web hosting.
